Palio Palio di Siena is a competition
between the districts of Siena in the form of a carousel
horse of medieval origin. Usually it takes place twice a year:
July 2, the Palio of Provenzano (in honor of the
Madonna di Provenzano) and 16 August the Palio of the
Assumption (in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption).
A lot of tourists from allover the world come to Siena in
Tuscany becoming witness of this unique spectacle.
